Quick Fact: The origin of cardboard

It's a little known fact that corrugated cardboard was actually developed my NASA in the 1950's. In fact, John Glenn's original space suit was lined with cardboard that was only slightly thicker than a typical cardboard box that you likely have around your home.

Pleased to be here

I'm so excited about joing the ReallyRealFacts.com staff. For many years Craig and his staff has been a source of great information for me and it's a real honor to help him move his knowledge to the web.

A little background...

I was born in Burnips Michigan, the cantaloupe capital of the midwest. After completing high school (at the age of 13) I attended Oxford University and majored in restaurant management. After graduation I opened a Chinese hot dog stand in Chicago, which was wildly successful. I later sold the franchise to Dave Thomas, who later turned it into a chain of hamburger stands that he named after his high school girlfriend... Wendy.

I have been living off the proceeds from the sale of my business for the last 28 years. I spend most of my time traveling the country testing golf courses. I'm also a volunteer for the Salvation Way, the largest charitable organization on the East Coast. We specialize in providing paper products to families that could not afford them otherwise. It's very rewarding. My hope is that my efforts for ReallyRealFacts.com will not interfere with my volunteer work.

That's it for now. I look forward to sharing my adventures with you, which have taken me all over the world.
